PINK IN THE BEDROOM
I always have to include at least one bold space in each of my Hot for Hue posts, and I'm going to start with this beautiful showhouse bedroom designed by Jamie Drake, who as per usual, nails it! What makes this room so exciting is the mix of various shades of medium pink to deep fuchsia, and also the mix of contemporary lines with traditional furniture pieces. The bed is itself is such a wow!

This room is a more subdued version of pink on pink, and I very much like that it is all the same hue - so sophisticated. The mix of these fabulous contemporary black light fixtures is genius!

I know pink on pink on pink is not for everyone, so instead try just a pink bed. How gorgeous is this room designed by Robert Couturier? I love poster beds that are also upholstered. I love the choice matching pink bedding and how the pink is balance by white on almost all the other major pieces. The layering of this screen behind the bed, though - superb! Screens, in my opinion are not used often enough.

Can't get on board with an entirely pink bed? A pink headboard can give a similar effect. Again we have a mainly neutral bedroom with pink focused around the bed. This oversized headboard makes a statement on its own without having to feel like you are surrounded by pink.

A few pieces you can incorporate to bring pink into your bedroom

And if, of course, you can't commit, some pink bedding will do the trick!
PINK DECOR IN THE CLOSET
Now, you know I can't leave out the closet. This fabulous walk-in not only features a high gloss ceiling, but all the trim work and built-ins are painted to match. And if that wasn't fabulous enough, the back wall is accented with a pink fretwork wallpaper. I could move right in!

Another beautifully lacquered closet/dressing room in a medium pink. I really love this color. I also love how the insides of the shelves are painted a deeper pink. Did you catch it? It really adds depth.

You don't need a walk-in closet or a dressing room to bring some excitement to getting dressed in the morning. These doors are the perfect example!
